Audrey Mae Off (AMO) was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, the county seat of beautiful Door County. Her art reflects the profound influence of water and nature. She resides on the family farm, a stone's throw from the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal. At an early age, AMO showed great interest in drawing and painting, making it her focus through college. She attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Communication and Visual Arts. As Audrey's painting style emerged, she excelled in watercolor, oil, acrylic, and mixed-media! Her diverse talents serve her well to satisfy her desire for working in "3-D", using real rocks, sand, and trees, building up sculptural relief paintings with that SUPER REAL look. The original painting was an oil painting, and this is a giclee reproduction printed on canvas. Audrey Off, the original artist, then paints over the top of the canvas reproduction to "redo" the piece as an original artwork - this has an unbelievable 3-D look!
The Giclee canvas is mounted on ½ inch thick gator board, and spray coated with a clear photographic lacquer with UV protection. Under normal home lighting conditions, this piece should last 80 to 100 years without fading.
A 1.5 inch thick frame is hidden on the backside, and the panels appear to “float” off the wall, which creates some interesting shadows around the artwork.
